Scholastic Media is synching up its marketing push for the new season of Maya & Miguel with the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Dubbed Latin Fun Fiesta, the promotion begins with the induction of Maya into the Girl Scouts, and will culminate with a major national sweepstakes and the premiere of the fourth season of the animated series on Monday, October 1 on PBS Kids Go!

This is Scholastic’s first national sweepstakes and fans can enter at www.scholastic.com. The grand prize is a trip for a family of four anywhere in the continental US, Alaska, Latin America or the Caribbean. Scholastic and partners are even kicking in first class plane tickets to boot. And up to 100 runners-up will each receive a Maya & Miguel DVD.

The Scholastic and PBS Kids M&M website will also be updated with new gaming content for kids and lesson plans for teachers.
