VOOM HD Networks, the largest US HD channel, has acquired three new kid-friendly series. Offshoot net Family Room HD scooped up RenegadePress.com, the 28 x 20-minute series from FilmOption International and 52 x 30-minute Animal Atlas from Midori, which is set to bow on the net on October 2.
Additionally, Animania HD picked up the first season of the new CGI HD preschool series Katakune. As part of the agreement, Animania HD licensed exclusive US HD television rights for the first 52 eps of the series produced by Character Farm and distributed by Princ Films. The series will bow on the net’s preschool block in November.
