Toys ‘R’ Us names new North American president

As it grapples with the recall crisis rippling through part of its supply chain, TRU has promoted Ron Boire to president of the North American division. As such, he'll continue to oversee all merchandising, marketing and operations for the company's 586 US stores and e-commerce business, as well as assuming additional responsibility for 67 locations in Canada.

As it grapples with the recall crisis rippling through part of its supply chain, TRU has promoted Ron Boire to president of the North American division. As such, he’ll continue to oversee all merchandising, marketing and operations for the company’s 586 US stores and e-commerce business, as well as assuming additional responsibility for 67 locations in Canada.

Boire left his EVP and global merchandise manager position at Best Buy to join TRU in 2006 as president of US operations.
