Canuck kids seem to be clamoring to get in on the Bakugan Battle Tour these days. The promo event touting toyco Spin Master’s latest action line and Teletoon series Bakugan has been hitting popular festivals and retail events in Toronto and Montreal this summer, and is winding up with appearances at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto this coming Labour Day weekend. By the tour’s end, Spin Master will have distributed more than 100,000 Bakugan toys to eager fans.

At each stop, as well as at various Wal-Mart and Toys ‘R’ Us stores, kids have had the chance to test their battle skills. A branded media truck roars up sporting a giant roof-mounted inflatable dragon, a large billboard scrolling promotions for Bakugan toys at participating retailers, and playing music from the TV show. Then, courtesy of Spin Master, children are given a Bakugan toy and are invited to battle with other kids at branded table-top arenas stationed near the vehicle.

The campaign was produced by Vaughn, Canada’s Showbiz Marketing in response to Spin Master’s request for a unique sampling experience focusing on interactive game play tied to the Bakugan brand. Teletoon is also airing commercials touting the Bakugan Battle Tour, for which Spin Master handled the creative. And Toronto-based GO Mobile Media executed the vehicle wrap.
