Icon hoping to get lucky with Fred at Cartoon Forum

Barcelona, Spain-based Icon Animation will be packing Lucky Fred in its suitcase before it heads to Cartoon Forum in Girona, Spain this September. The 52 x 12-minute traditionally animated comedy tells the story of RED (Reality Enhancement Drone), who falls from outer space and crashes through 13-year-old Fred's bedroom ceiling. From then on, RED acts as an Aladdin's lamp of sorts for Fred, granting the boy his his every wish. Of course, Fred has to remember to be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.

Lucky Fred was created by Myriam Ballesteros, a founding partner in Icon Animation with Sergi Reitg and Txema Ocio. The team’s previous work includes Lola & Virgina.
