• Today The Lego Group celebrates its 75th anniversary. Founded by Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark, the company first produced wooden blocks and is now the world's leading construction toy manufacturer.

Disney Channel is customizing the much-anticipated High School Musical 2 soundtrack just for the Asia-Pacific market. The soundtrack, launching August 14, will feature 10 new original songs from the sequel plus localized versions of various songs sung by six Asian artists from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Philippines.

• The second season of Toronto, Canada-based Sinking Ship Entertainment's Are We There Yet? has been picked up by Canuck 24/7 preschool net Treehouse. Are We There Yet?: World Adventure (39 x seven minutes) is slated to bow on Treehouse and Discovery Kids Canada in fall 2008.
