New York City-based 4Kids Entertainment continues its sluggish performance. Today the company announced net revenues were down from US$16.7 million in Q2 2006 to US$12 million this year. Revenues were also down for the six months ending June 30, 2007, as 4Kids brought in US$26.9 million compared to a US$35.9 million take in 2006.

Chairman and CEO Al Kahn says although the company’s disappointed with the results, it’s looking forward to reaping rewards from investments in 4Kids.TV and the new Chaotic trading card game and website, launching in October.

Currently, 4Kids revenue-driving properties include Yu-Gi-Oh!, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Cabbage Patch Kids and The Dog.
