• Remington Steele joining Thomas & Friends? It's true. HIT Entertainment has signed Pierce Brosnan as the series' new narrator. Brosnan will make his debut on upcoming DVD special Thomas & Friends: The Great Discovery.

• Ottawa, Ontario-based Amberwood Productions has inked a deal with South Africa's MNET for 195 half-hours from the prodco's library, including The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, Hoze Houndz and Katie & Orbie.
