VeggieTales merch readies for market

Entertainment Rights-owned Big Idea, creator of the VeggieTales franchise, has lined up several licensees to support The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything-A VeggieTales Movie, being released theatrically by Universal Pictures this winter.

Entertainment Rights-owned Big Idea, creator of the VeggieTales franchise, has lined up several licensees to support The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything-A VeggieTales Movie, being released theatrically by Universal Pictures this winter.

Toyco Blue Box is creating bathtub toys and a pirate ship playset, while Manhattan Toy has signed on to create finger puppets and Pint Sized Productions is developing various plush based on the three main veggie-Pirate characters. Meanwhile, Crossroads Apparel will roll out toddler and youth-sized t-shirts and Christian publisher Thomas Nelson is readying six new book titles. The products should start hitting retail in October.
