Porchlight Entertainment has signed a deal with Canadian pubcaster CBC that will put Animalia on the airwaves this fall. In addition to CBC and CBBC, PBS in the US and Network Ten and Nickelodeon in Australia have picked up the series being distributed internationally by BBC Worldwide and by PorchLight Entertainment in North America.

Based on Graeme Base’s bestselling picture book, the 20 x 26-minute CGI series is produced by Burberry/Lux Monkey/DoubleBase Productions in association with PorchLight Entertainment.

Worldwide licensing and merchandising is being handled by PorchLight, excluding Australia, New Zealand and the UK where BBC Worldwide is taking the reins.
