People moves: BKN International injects new blood

BKN International has made a slew of appointments in recent weeks at its New Media division, starting with Nicola Andrews, who is taking over as MD of the London-based office. Andrews maintains her TV sales responsibilities for English, French, German and Russian markets and is adding licensing and merchandising, business affairs and public relations to her remit.

BKN International has made a slew of appointments in recent weeks at its New Media division, starting with Nicola Andrews, who is taking over as MD of the London-based office. Andrews maintains her TV sales responsibilities for English, French, German and Russian markets and is adding licensing and merchandising, business affairs and public relations to her remit.

Julian Day, meanwhile, joins as VP of licensing and merchandising for English, German and French markets and will report to Andrews. Day has stepped over from Marvel Entertainment International, where he was VP of licensing.

New to the role of sales manager is Rob Bassett, who’ll be looking after Canada, Scandinavia, Benelux and Asia. Bassett hales from Granada International, where he served as sales executive for in-flight accounts.

Marianna Johnson is coming aboard as director of legal and business affairs after leaving a similar post at ID Distribution. Finally, David Recasens is moving over from the position of licensing manager at prodco Cromosomato to BKN New Media SL in Spain as VP of licensing and merchandising for Spain and Portugal.
