Former CEO of Vancouver, Canada’s Mainframe Entertainment Rick Mischel is branching out from toons to video games. His new venture, Reach Games, is looking to supply art, design and other services to gamemakers around the world and he’s brought the head of Mainframe’s games division Ali Kojori in to serve as GM.

Also on the creative team are senior producer Ivan Allen (NBA Live, Need for Speed), formerly of Nokia, and art director Michael Douglas (2006 MTV Movie Awards), who was also at Mainframe.

Rainmaker Entertainment bought and rebranded the CGI shop last year, with Mischel reinstalled as an executive producer. He will stay on at Rainmaker, according to a Reach Games spokesperson.

Reach is also planning to co-develop games with other companies.
