Disney Channel is pooling its star power to launch the Disney Channel Games 2007 on Friday, June 15. Stars from kid and tween hits including High School Musical 2, Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Cheetah Girls 2 will compete against each other in a summer-long multi-platform event.

Four color-coded teams are participating in eight games, including an Eggstreme Egg Toss, Simon Says, Outrageous Obstacle Course and Human Hamster Ball Bowling. Viewers can then cheer on and vote for their favorite teams via DisneyChannel.com, which will also feature PC versions of the featured games. In addition, original short-form video content will make its way on to a variety of digital platforms.

When the dust settles, winners will be announced at the closing ceremonies airing on Saturday, August 25. Performances by The Cheetah Girls, The Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus are part of the scheduled lineup.

The US$100,000 in prize money is earmarked for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, UNICEF and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
