Taffy Entertainment has tapped Montreal, Canada-based Hola Entertainment to serve as its distribution agent for free-TV broadcast and home video in Latin America, but plans to continue to handle its own pay-TV business in the region.

Taffy already has deals with several Latin American broadcasters, including TV Globo for Fantastic Four and Little Vampire and TVN Chile for Code Lyoko and Fantastic Four.

The plan is to lean on Hola’s considerable south-of-the-border contact base and expertise to expand its reach, and the two companies will be doing meetings together at LA Screenings to find new Latin-American homes for content including Cosmic Quantum Ray (CGI, 26 x 22 minutes), preschool toon Lamimila and the Emmy Award-nominated Growing Up Creepie.
