A big hit at MIPCOM 2004, BRB Internacional’s Bernard the Bear is now starting to gain traction in the licensing arena.

The 53 x three-minute CGI series now airs in more than 60 countries, and BRB has recently inked deals in Germany with WB Compagnie for plush toys and Mohn Media Kalonder & Promotion Service for postcards and calendars. Meanwhile, Italy’s Seven S.P.A. has also designed a series of stationery products that include diaries, writing pads and pencil cases. In France, Evasion Comunicacion has picked up Bernard for apparel, and Prime will be using the bear on its cake decorations and food products later this year.
