Euro dorks beware: BKN International’s UK subsidiary BKN New Media has inked broadcast deals in the UK and Germany, as well as a master toy deal for its 36 x 22-minute animated comedy Dork Hunters from Outer Space.

The UK’s GMTV has snapped up two full seasons for its free-to-air GMTV1 channel in 2008. And Germany’s RTL 2 will begin airing the series in late 2007.

On the heels of these deals, BKN awarded the pan-Euro master toy license to Character Group, the Surrey-based toyco that distributes Doctor Who and Scooby-Doo merch across Europe.

Targeting kids six to 11, the toys should launch in the summer of 2008 and include plush, action figures, toy vehicles, accessories, playsets, arts & crafts and interactive games.

Dork Hunters from Outer Space follows the adventures of friends Mac, Nicci, Romeo, Eddie and Angie as they battle an interplanetary collection of villains in suburban New Jersey.
