Carlton TV has licensed U.K. publisher Panini to create a line of comic books for the Carlton TV/Henson-produced show Mopatop’s Shop. The comics will feature games, puzzles and stories based on the adventures of Mopatop and his cronies Puppyduck and Moosey, as seen in episodes of the preschool show. Panini will distribute the comics exclusively in the U.K. beginning March 9 with the release of a special launch issue. Monthly releases of the comics will follow starting in September. Mopatop’s Shop the TV show currently airs in the U.K. on CITV.
