King World International picked up the exclusive international format rights to a catalog of Merrill Heatter TV game shows, which include kid properties Malcolm, Spin and Pinball Fantasy.
Malcolm is geared to ages seven and up, and pairs contestants with an animated partner who always knows the right answer. Spin is a quiz show based on the series Video Village, in which contestants act as game pieces on an oversized playing board. The show combines educational quizzes with physical stunts and targets the same age range. Pinball Fantasy is a quiz show in which kids compete for the chance to play a massive, 30-foot pinball machine and earn prizes. The show is also geared to ages seven and up.
King World has licensed local versions of game show giants Jeopardy! (44 countries), Wheel of Fortune (54 countries) and The New Hollywood Squares (seven countries.) KB
