SKD Media in London is growing exponentially with the acquisition of Boom! Boom! and exclusive intellectual property rights to its Basil Brush character. Southampton-based Boom! Boom! was set up in July 1997 specifically to hold the rights for Basil Brush, puppet star of the long-running 1970s series The Basil Brush Show. Current projects in development for the popular puppet include a TV series, theater productions, and licensed merch opportunities. Last December, SKD Media snapped up Cardiff-based Siriol and Sleepy Kids, the London-based company that produced Budgie The Little Helicopter.

TNBC executive producer Robin Schwartz, former VP of Saturday morning programs and prime-time series for NBC, is hanging out her own Los Angeles-based production shingle in partnership with Hang Time and One World creator Robert Tarlow. Schwartz/Tarlow Productions, a combination TV/Internet content provider, will focus on producing half-hour comedies and hour-long dramas for the youth market.
