Toon creator Magnus Carlsson, who spawned Fox Family Channel’s

animated series Three Friends and Jerry, landed a development deal to produce 26 half hours of Greenman. The series’ production budget is US$350,000 per episode.

A cartoon targeting six- to 11-year-olds, Greenman represents the first deal struck between New York-based Sunbow Entertainment and Sweden’s Happy Life, an animation shop that was started in 1997 by Carlsson and partner Peter Gustafsson. The series centers around two glowing aliens who reside in suburban paradise. Sunbow will be launching the series at MIPCOM next month, and no broadcast outlet has yet been secured.
