Sydney’s Energee Entertainment has picked up distribution rights to an animated poetry collection for ages nine and up called Poetica. The 30 x three-minute series, originally co-produced in France by La Cinquieme Television and Sombrero Productions, features William Blake’s The Tyger and Lewis Carroll’s The Mad Gardener’s Song, among other famous literary works. Energee is recording an English version of the shorts, which were helmed by various directors using different animation techniques.
