The NHL has renewed its deal with apparel licensee SLM International for an additional five years. SLM subsidiaries Sport Maska Canada and Maska U.S.A. will continue to manufacture product under the CCM brand beyond the current deal’s expiration date in June 1999, to the year 2004. With the extension of the deal, SLM will have the exclusive worldwide rights to produce, market and distribute on-ice authentic jerseys for 12 NHL teams, replica jerseys for all of the league’s franchises, as well as the NHL’s Centre Ice collection of practise jerseys, on-ice officials’ equipment, apparel and licensed headware.
