– Marvel is on the bag

Marvel Comics has bagged a partnership with In the Bag Inc. to introduce children’s lunch bags featuring Marvel’s most popular superher’es. The bags retail at $2.99 for a package of 20 and are available in stores throughout the U.S. and Canada in time for back to school. The partnership is one of 150 licensees for Marvel in categories ranging from toys, games and sporting goods to apparel, home products and interactive media.

– Nickelodeon Sweepstakes

Nickelodeon is running its ‘Nick Takes Over Your School’ sweepstakes for the ninth year in a row in conjunction with Lewis Galoob Toys and Twix Cookie Bars. The sweepstakes gives kids the chance to win the grand prize of a day filled with Nickelodeon games, celebrities, costume characters and green slime. A 60-second how-to-enter promotional spot ran on Nickelodeon for three weeks in September. Postcard entries for the promotion will be accepted until November 8.

– TrendMasters takes on ID-4

Summit Media Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of 4Kids Entertainment, has added TrendMasters to its client list. TrendMasters is the toy licensee for Independence Day, producing the male action figures based on the movie. The addition of this new client is the most recent move in Summit Media’s growth, which has led to current billings of over $90 million.
