Scholastic Productions has partnered with over 30 Canadian licensees for a major consumer-product launch scheduled for the fall. The retail rollout will be supported with major promotions from both Kraft Canada and PepsiCo. Kraft will offer corporate promotions and sweepstakes during a back-to-school promotion with a number of its brands, and PepsiCo will pair Goosebumps with KFC Canada, Hostess Frito-Lay and Taco Bell. KFC will participate in the fourth quarter with a national Goosebumps offer. The promotional partners will integrate Goosebumps books into their promotional activities.

Scholastic Canada has enjoyed a wave of success recently with more than three million units of the Goosebumps book series being sold in Canada during the past year alone. The Goosebumps television series, produced in Canada by Protocol Entertainment in association with Scholastic Productions, currently airs on YTV and is one of the top 10 shows for children two to 11 years old. The television series has been sold to Canadian French-language broadcaster Canal Famille, with 30 episodes of Chair de Poule set to air in the 1996-1997 television season.
