Featured event: National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Program Conference and Exhibition

The 34th annual NATPE conference takes place January 13 to 16, 1997 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.

The first NATPE conference held in New York in May 1964 had an attendance of 71 people.

The 1996 conference in Las Vegas had an attendance of 17,694 people, up 12 percent over 1995.

2,975 international delegates attended in 1996-including 403 from the U.K., 268 from France, 191 from Germany, 162 from Spain, 100 from Argentina, 94 from Mexico, 81 from Japan, 76 from Korea, 73 from Brazil, 58 from Colombia and 40 from Russia-up 19 percent over 1995.
