The heat is on as software developer and publisher Smart Games of Marblehead, Massachusetts, prepares to choose the first $10,000-prize winner of ‘The Smartest Person in America’ contest on September 30. The competition is being held to promote its first title, Smart Games Challenge #1, which consists of more than 300 puzzles of varying levels of difficulty. The contest kicked off in early May with the launch of the title, and players submit their puzzle scores to Smart Games by e-mail, phone or mail. Players can keep track of who’s leading the challenge by checking the scoreboard on Smart Games’ Web site (www.smartgames.com). A new winner will be named for another four consecutive quarters.
