Hearst Entertainment’s new syndicated animated series Flash Gordon launches with a national station tune-in promotion during the month of October. A ‘Watch and Win’ viewer sweepstakes offers kids a chance to win merchandise by answering questions related to episodes aired during the promotion period.
Hearst has also created two sets of costumes based on the series’ principal characters for use by stations in local promotional events. Playmates Toys shipped action figures to retailers in July, giving retail exposure prior to its television debut.
