The European Licensing Fair is making its debut this year. While the show, to be held annually, is intended to be a European forum, U.K.-based properties will likely be in the spotlight.

The event runs in conjunction with the International Autumn Fair (IAF) and Housewares International, a move in response to growing licensing activity within the retail sector.

About 65 exhibitors are expected to showcase their products and properties.

A potential 45,000 to 50,000 visitors to the IAF could attend.

The show will offer two days of seminars free to attendees. The presentations will be divided among four themes: A Beginner’s Guide to Licensing, aimed at newcomers to the industry; What’s in a Name?, focusing on brand licensing; The Art of Licensing, covering design and images in licensing; and A Sporting Chance, looking at sports licensing.

London, U.K.-based trade show management company TPS and A4 Publications of Stourbridge, U.K., publisher of the quarterly magazine Licensing Today Worldwide, are the show’s organizers. For more information, call TPS at 44-181-855-9201, ext. 7.
