DIC Entertainment will tap members of the National Education Association (NEA) to act as program consultants on DIC’s Inspector Gadget’s Field Trip, which premieres this fall.

The NEA consulted on the pilot project and encouraged DIC to use educators as consultants for each episode.

DIC used educators as consultants on its successful Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego show.

As with Carmen Sandiego, Inspector Gadget will roam the world, taking viewers on field trips to exotic locations including the Tower of London, the Great Wall of China, the Roman Coliseum, The United Nations, The Amazon Rain Forest and the Sphinx.

DIC Merchandising will handle the licensing campaign for the show and Buena Vista Home Video has signed on for home video release.
