PARIS: For many years, AB Productions was best known for its sitcoms and violent Japanese-styled animation series. According to Frédérick Rangé, newly appointed head of international sales and marketing, the company is now stepping into quality animation and non-violent programming.

The company is developing five new comedy and action-adventure projects for co-production. Most of them are being produced by AB Studio and AB subsidiaries such TVTV.

Hello Croc is a 40 x 26 minute adventure series featuring a crocodile secret agent. The series has raised interest in Germany.

Kangoo is a 26 x 26 minute series for TF1 featuring basketball-playing kangaroo rappers.

AB is working with TVTV on two projects: Vachetardville and Porkytown and Les Lascars, 51 x 1 minute animated shorts for teenagers about daily suburban life.

AB is also working with Rafael Films in adapting a science-fiction and action-adventure story from a feature film into a 26 x 26 minute series called Exoforce for TV and video markets.
