The U.S.’s leading toy makers appear to be looking to refresh their advertising.
Earlier this year, Tyco Toys consolidated all of its advertising business, estimated at $75 million, at one agency: D’Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles of New York (see page 7 in the March issue).
Now it is understood that Hasbro is down to a handful of ad agencies in a review of its Playskool account. The business is handled by Griffin Bacal of New York. Another Hasbro agency, Grey Advertising, also of New York, and the incumbent are reported to be among the list of contenders for the assignment.
– In other account news, Pizza Hut has consolidated its kids promotional business with Goodby Silverstein of San Francisco.
