PARIS: 4D Marina Productions, headed by Claude Berthier, has made great strides worldwide. During NATPE ’96, Berthier personally advanced negotiations on three series. One of the most interesting developments is an agreement signed for Mr. Men (104 x 5 minutes and co-produced with France 3) with Fox Video for the worldwide rights. Video sales in Great Britain have already started, with 500,000 units sold within three months. Mr. Men will air on Nickelodeon in Great Britain and is likely to be syndicated in the U.S. with a half-hour format that would combine 4 x 5 minute episodes with live sequences. A worldwide toy licensing agreement is also in the offing.
