Sony Wonder is backing the release of its new Sesame Street audio, book and tape package with a year-long marketing campaign that includes both television and print advertising.

The product series, which includes sing-along audio titles, book and tape packages as compilations, re-releases and several new book and tape packages is available in CD and cassette formats.

One of the new programs, the ‘Kids’ Guide To Life’ book and tape series deals with a common developmental problem for pre-schoolers and parents in an entertaining way.

Advertising will include 30-second TV spots airing on national cable and local daytime spots throughout February. Full-page, four-color magazine ads will run in national parenting magazines beginning in March.

In addition, an extensive promotional campaign, involving licensees in a variety of sweeptakes and prize give-aways will run throughout the year.

And, Sony and 130 radio stations across the U.S. will run a radio promotion program in which Sesame Street audio, book and tape products will be given away as prizes four times per day through a promotional mention for one week.
