Two Hasbro toy lines, Tonka Truck and Playskool’s Cool Tools, will come to life through an agreement with ABC Video.
ABC, in partnership with Hasbro, will produce a live-action home video series based on the toys. Each half-hour video will incorporate the toy lines into stories designed to educate kids two to six years about trucks, vehicles and tools.
The first two titles are scheduled for release in the second half of 1996.
ABC has North American marketing and distribution rights for the videos, and is working closely with Hasbro on program development.
The launch will be supported by an advertising and promotion campaign including in-store POP and merchandising.
