Quaker Oats and Disney Adventures have teamed up with New Line Television in a joint marketing program tieing in to New Line’s Saturday morning animated show The Mask.

Quaker Oats will feature Mask animated characters on the front and back of its cereal packs, with premium offers related to the series.

The magazine Disney Adventures has created a contest for children in which kids are invited to submit an essay describing what they would be if they were wearing the mask.

The winner will get a trip to Los Angeles to meet with The Mask production team. The contest is running in the February issue.

The Mask, which is produced by New Line and Sunbow with animation by Film Roman, is currently running on CBS and is being stripped into a six-day-a-week program.

Kenner Products owns the worldwide toy license, and more than 100 licensees are on board.

The TV series is based on the original New Line feature, The Mask, which starred Jim Carrey and went on to pick up more than $330 million in box office receipts. The TV show stars the same nerdy bank clerk, Stanley Ipkiss, who becomes a crime-fighter when he puts on the green mask.
