PARIS: Work is continuing for French public channel France 3, the leading broadcaster and co-producer of anmation programs in Europe. About 40 animated series representing 300 hours are now in production and co-producing with 20 or more production companies. Either in traditional animation or 3-D computer-generated images, these series are scheduled for preschool and six to 12 year olds.

Among the shows in production: Tous sur orbite (26O x 2 minutes) with Fantome Animation, Ma Petite Planete chérie (26 x 5 minutes) with Folimage, Mr. Men (104 x 5 minutes) with 4D Marina productions, Urmel (52 x 13 minutes) with France Animation, Home To Rent (52 x l3 minutes) with Gaumont Multimedia, Flash Gordon (26 x 26 minutes) with Dupuis Audiovisuel/Carrère TV/Hearst Entertainment.

Among the shows in progress: Fennec Le futé (26 x l3 minutes) with Ellipse Animation, Les Aventures du Père-N’el (26 x 26 minutes) with Marathon Productions, Princesse Sissi (52 x 26 minures) with Saban International, and Le Comte de Monte-Cristo (26 x 26 minutes) with IDDH.
