A line Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles specialty figures – including a four-foot-tall rendering of Michelangelo – and interactive toys are in the works at Jakks Pacific following a licensing deal between the US toymaker and Nickelodeon.
Following a deal between Viacom and The Sunway Group, the first Nickelodeon-themed attraction- dubbed Nickelodeon Explorer’s Oasis – is set to debut within Malaysia’s Sunway Lagoon theme park in March 2015.
At its 2014-15 upfront presentation today in New York, Nickelodeon announced two brand-new animated series, one digital series, 10 domestic and seven international shorts projects, as well as new episodes of returning hit series that will roll out in the coming months.

Nickelodeon is once again on the hunt for new creative talent and is calling for global submissions for its annual Animated Shorts Program. This year marks the third installment of the program, which is designed to identify and develop new animation talent and provide new content for kids.
American media conglomerate Viacom, home to such kid and youth-friendly cable networks as Nickelodeon and MTV as well as movie studio Paramount, saw its profits rise 16% during the first quarter of this year after offsetting revenue declines within its movie business.
