Entertainment One Family has expanded the digital presence of the Astley Baker Davies-created preschool property Peppa Pig by launching the first US-targeted app based on the hit animated TV series.

Developed by interactive game publisher P2 Games, Peppa Pig Happy Mrs. Chicken is available for iOS, Nokia and Android devices and features six interactive activities based on some of Peppa Pig’s favorite games including Happy Mrs. Chicken, Chicken Coop, Seed and Maze, Muddy Puzzles and Jigsaw Puzzles.

Popular Peppa Pig characters, such as Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Suzy Sheep and Rebecca Rabbit, as well as music from the show also appear in the app, which helps kids ages two to six learn counting, creative thinking and hand-eye coordination.

P2, which holds the publishing rights for additional kids properties including Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Humf, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder, Postman Pat, Guess With Jess, Tinga Tinga Tales, and Tracy Beaker, launched Peppa Pig’s Party Time, the first Peppa Pig app for iPad in 2011.
