Amsterdam-based producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group inked a distribution agreement with ad-supported kids VOD service Kidoodle.TV. The deal covers a number of kids series, including the CGI-animated preschool show Bananas in Pyjamas (pictured) and Mr. Bean: The Animated Series.
Kidoodle.TV’s safe streaming service for children under the age of 12 is available in more than 140 countries on mobile devices and connected TVs. Earlier this year, the company hired Brenda Bisner as SVP of content and business development to lead its content acquisition group and find business development opportunities in the kids space. Since then, the VOD has racked up new titles, including agreements with preschool channel ZooMoo Networks, Digital Light Studios’ Sunny Bunnies, Moonbug’s Little Baby Bum, Fingerlings and Untamed from WowWee, and Milimages’ Molang and Louie.
The agreement comes as Endemol Shine Group continues to grow its kid-focused properties. Earlier this year, UK-based AVOD provider VOD365 picked up Bananas in Pyjamas for its kids channel Ketchup TV. The first two season of Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, meanwhile, were recently acquired by Chinese broadcaster CCTV-14.
