Children’s music brand KIDZ BOP is expanding its media and content partnerships with UK broadcaster Sky Kids and German kidsnet Super RTL.
The UK KIDZ BOP group (pictured) is adding to its partnership with Sky Kids through 2021 with new offerings, including dance-along and music videos. On May 20, the broadcaster will air 45 minutes of exclusive content, followed by holiday-themed specials later this year. All of the content will also be available on Sky’s on-demand platforms.
Sky Kids first partnered with the the UK version of the group when it debuted in 2017. Since expanding into the region the music brand has been steadily growing its presence following the release of a greatest hits album and signing a media partnership with British TV net ITV for a multi-platform advertising campaign.
Meanwhile, the German KIDZ BOP kids are working with Super RTL on a German tour kicking off on May 25 and continuing throughout the summer. The kidsnet will chronicle the brand’s expansion into Germany with an online behind-the-scenes series about how the kids are preparing for the tour. KIDZ BOP launched its first German spin-off group in March, followed by the release of KIDZ BOP Germany. The album reached number 16 on the official German charts in its second week.
Since launching in 2001 the brand has sold 20 million albums and generated 2.7 billion streams, according to KIDZ BOP. Recently, the brand started making efforts to modernize its moneymaking approach by shifting its content into the digital space and focusing more on streaming.
