Cyber Group, YoBoHo team up on co-pro deal

As part of the partnership, the duo will release digital content, which Cyber Group will then adapt for linear TV.

Paris-based producer/distributor Cyber Group has partnered with Mumbai-based digital media company YoBoHo to produce content for toddlers and preschoolers across digital and traditional media outlets

The two prodcos will coproduce digital series, which YoBoHo will then distribute to its network of YouTube channels. Meanwhile, Cyber Group will adapts the series for TV and handle worldwide distribution of the productions. Cyber Group plans to co-produce two digital series, and two TV series to start.

To kick off the partnership, the companies are working on the 3D-animated comedy digital series, Captain FunTime. With 52 x five-minute episodes the series follows the adventures of four best friends and their favourite superhero, Captain FunTime. There is no date yet for when the series will be completed. 

Cyber Group is also looking to grow its digital presence. As part of the deal, YoBoHo will provide content management services for Cyber Group Studios. YoBoHo will put Cyber Group’s entire catalog onto its network  in India. The digital media company manages a library of 15,000 children’s videos on the platform. YoBoHo also owns and operates 90 YouTube channels, including HooplaKidz (3.6 million subscribers) and All Babies (2.8 million subscribers).

This partnership comes on the heels of Cyber Groups YayToons launch, created through a deal with multiplatform distribute Future Today.  The free OTT app will feature nearly 300 episodes of Cyber Groups’ animated content for kids three-to-eight years old. Available in the US on platforms including Amazon, Fire TV, Roku and Apple TV, YayToons could also expand to other platforms, and internationally.
