Nickelodeon/YouTube star JoJo Siwa is leaving the virtual world and taking to the stage in her first multi-city live concert event, Nickelodeon’s JoJo Siwa D.R.E.A.M. The Tour.
Launching May 17, the travelling show will visit 25 cities, offering VIP meet-and-greet experiences featuring photos with Siwa, autographed posters and Q&A sessions. It’s being produced by Nickelodeon and AEG Presents.
In anticipation, Nickelodeon is releasing Siwa’s first EP D.R.E.A.M. The Music on all digital service providers on November 16. The tour builds on the exclusive licensing partnership Nickelodeon signed with Siwa in 2016 to develop a line of consumer products inspired by the singer, dancer and actress.
Siwa’s upcoming live concert tour is the latest entry in a live and location-based brand extension boom that’s playing out right now in children’s entertainment. Mattel recently announced that its American Girl brand will take center stage with new musical stage show American Girl Live, PBS KIDS is partnering with Gershwin Entertainment to produce its first-ever live stage show, and Fred Rogers Productions is set to bow an interactive live show inspired by its Peg + Cat series.
