Singapore’s One Animation has partnered with US musical group Kidz Bop for exclusive music videos based on its Emmy-nominated YouTube series OddBods (pictured). A new rendition of the Kidz Bop Shuffle features OddBods characters Bubbles and Pogo, dancing alongside members of the Kidz Bop crew.
The collaboration will launch across both brands’ social media platforms and YouTube, as well as on SuperAwesome’s PopJam video player. A second music video from the partners is expected to drop in 2019.
Oddbods has racked up 2.7 million subscribers on its YouTube channel and is available on Netflix and Amazon. One Animation has expanded the brand extensively since it launched in 2014, with 15 family entertainment centers in China, a toy line at Target in the US and Europe, and a move into the AR/VR gaming space earlier this year with three new mobile gaming partners. The series airs in more than 180 countries, and broadcasters that have recently joined the party include EBS Kids 1 (South Korea), Yoyo (Taiwan), PCCW (Hong Kong), Mediacorp (Singapore), RCTI (RCTI) and Canal+ (Myanmar).
