Cloudco Entertainment is teaming up with France’s Watch Next Media and Ireland’s Kavaleer Productions to co-produce a new animated sitcom for kids called Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese.
UK kidscaster CBBC and France’s Gulli have co-commissioned the series, marking the first time the networks have collaborated on a kids project. Ireland’s RTÉ has also picked it up, with additional funding coming from the Irish Film Board. Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse Cheese is currently in production and on track to air next year.
Aimed at six- to 12-year-olds, this comedy features the members of a blended family, who learn to love each other despite being different genders/species/objects.
Cloudco (formerly American Greetings Entertainment) has been busy expanding its global reach of late, making several new exec hires and opening an office in the UK. The company currently has four TV series in production and just inked a number of deals across Europe and Southeast Asia for its TV adaptation of Alex T. Smith’s picture book series Claude.
