Ricky Zoom races onto TV

The new animated preschool series from eOne will premiere in spring/summer 2019 in France, Italy and LatAm.

eOne is revving up its preschool portfolio with a new animated series called Ricky Zoom that stars a red motorbike living in a town populated exclusively by bikes.

The CGI action/comedy is slated to premiere in spring/summer 2019, and broadcast partners already signed on include Gulli (France), RAI (Italy) and Discovery Kids (LatAm).

On the consumer products front, eOne has tapped TOMY International as global master toy partner for the brand, with products expected to hit shelves in fall/winter 2019.

Ricky Zoom joins two very busy brands—Peppa Pig and PJ Masks—in eOne’s preschool library. The company recently partnered with Merlin Entertainments to launch the first-ever Peppa Pig World of Play in Shanghai, and is co-producing a new Peppa Pig movie with Chinese distributor Alibaba Pictures (marking the character’s first big-screen appearance in the territory). The PJ Masks franchise, meanwhile, recently added new broadcast and licensing partners in Korea.
