Federation Kids & Family has appointed Little Dot Studios to manage its digital presence on YouTube, as well as that of its subsidiary Cottonwood Media.
The digital content studio is being tasked with setting up YouTube channels for Cottonwood’s programming to grow its online presence and viewership. Some of the prodco’s flagship shows will kick off the agreement, including preschool series The Ollie & Moon Show, animated comedy Squish (pictured), and tween dramas Find me in Paris and Love Divina.
The companies will work together to develop an online strategy for each show, raising awareness and supporting regional broadcasters and local platforms. Little Dot will regularly upload new content, creating compilations and targeted playlists, optimizing and scheduling all content, and working with YouTube Kids to find cross-promotional opportunities for all of the series.
Little Dot has worked with more than 150 production companies and broadcasters in the past, including Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids, ITV and Channel 4. Recently, it teamed up with Mattel Creations and YouTube network ProjectFirst to grow the presence of the Thomas & Friends and Monster High brands in Russia and France.
Cottonwood has been upping its content game as of late, having recently tapped former Family Channel exec Sarah Haasz to help develop its growing North American slate of live-action and animated series.
