London-based prodco Darrall Macqueen has appointed Golden Bear as master toy licensee for its CBBC show Waffle the Wonder Dog.
Set to launch in October, the toy range will feature specialty plush like the Talking Waffle Soft Toy, which is a replica of the titular hero that sings the show’s theme song “Waffle Doggie.”
Waffle the Wonder Dog is a live-action comedy/drama that launched on CBeebies in February, following the adventures of a pooch that joins a newly blended family. The 30 x 11-minute series is currently on air, with more episodes in the pipeline, and the possibility of a Christmas special for this year.
Golden Bear is well known for its interactive plush products, and recently launched a Bush Baby World range featuring plastic faces that have moving eyes and ears. (Bush Baby World is known as Fur Babies World in the US and Canada.)
