Turner has signed a licensing partnership agreement with Indonesian real-estate and hospitality investment group, The MAJ Group, to develop a 10.6-acre Cartoon Network park in Bali.
Slated to open in 2020, it will be the island’s largest waterpark and indoor entertainment center, including water rides, surf and wave pools. It will be a part of The MAJ’s Nusa Dua resort complex in southern Bali that includes hotels and golf courses.
Some of the brands featured throughout the park will include Ben 10, We Bare Bears, The Powerpuff Girls and Adventure Time.
Turner has been diving into live brand activations recently, with the Cartoon Network Amazone in Thailand, IMG World of Adventure in Dubai, Amaazia in India, and the Cartoon Network Wave cruise liner that just launched earlier this year in partnership with Singapore-based cruise management company Oceanic Group. The kidcaster also launched its largest-ever branded event in Southeast Asia, Animate Your Life, earlier this year in Singapore.
