COPPA-compliant digital group Playwire has inked an agreement to exclusively represent online advertising for Sandbox Networks’ web and mobile properties.
The deal covers sponsored content, custom gaming experiences and augmented ads for Sandbox brands like Poptropica, Poptropica Worlds (pictured), Funbrain, Fact Monster and Infoplease, and expands Playwire’s offering of kid-focused digital brands that are COPPA-compliant and certified kidSAFE.
The partnership also includes parenting website FamilyEducation.com as well as educator-focused TeacherVision.com. Altogether, Sandbox’s properties will lend 65 million pageviews to Playwire’s Kids Club ad platform.
Sandbox is part of the Sandbox & Co family, which reaches more than 100 countries per month through properties like Tinybop and Hopster. Earlier this year, UK-based preschool SVOD Hopster completed a multi-million-dollar funding round led by its minority stakeholder, Sony Pictures Television Network. (The funds will be supported by existing Hopster investors VentureFounders and the Angel CoFund.)
Playwire’s partnership with Sandbox follows its recent agreements with Kidzworld and Multiplication.com.
