CAKE picks up Kally’s MashUp

The UK distributor has taken exclusive broadcast rights to the musical series in the UK and Eire, Northern and Eastern Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa.

London-based distributor CAKE has picked up exclusive broadcast rights to musical series Kally’s MashUp in the UK and Eire, Northern and Eastern Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa.

Created by Glee executive music producer Adam Anders, Kally’s MashUp is co-produced by Nick LatAm, Anders Media and 360 Powwow. Bowing on Nick LatAm last October, the 75 x 60-minute series follows a 13-year-old musician who attends a prestigious academy. Aimed at seven- to 14-year-0lds, the show’s original songs are recorded and filmed in English at Buenos Aires-based Telefe Studios, which was acquired by VIMN in November 2016. (Telefe holds exclusive distribution rights to the IP in Latin America.)

Last fall, Spain’s Brands & Rights 360 acquired distribution rights to the series in select European countries, including France (plus French-speaking countries Monaco, Andorra, Mauritius, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Maghreb and French Africa), Italy, Spain (plus Andorra), Benelux (Dutch, Flemish, French), Greece (and Cyprus), Turkey, Portugal (and non-exclusive PALOP territoroes), Russia and Poland.
